As coronavirus spreading in India is now growing with rapid speed and in past governments are providing various safety measures to break the chain of coronavirus outbreak.
As Time to time Various lockdowns/curfews are done before speedy growing of coronavirus in India but now it looks like that all these steps are failed to break the chain of coronavirus spread.
During lockdown non availability of liquor in some places has caused medical emergency issues for some drinkers,
Apart from reports of surge in illicit sale of liquor and attempted suicide by some persons, the real reason of liquor sale is revenue of states. Addiction to liquor is also a reason given by state to sale of liquor.
Also some studies suggest that approximate one fourth revenue of states government are comes from liquor sale.

A report provided in last year states that about over a period of 7 years liquor consumption in India rises by 38 percent approximate.
As too much cases of coronavirus are now coming specially in Delhi & Maharashtra in India so other states are now also considering further measures to control the situation in their states also.
States focus on NDMA 2005 and Food Safety and Standards Act 2006 for liquor ban or its sale etc. and food safety law defines alcoholic beverages as food and food is an essential item under all laws operating in the country.
Also there were some health concerns during complete liquor ban during lockdown in various places.
Under these measures the Punjab Govt has also provided some weekend restrictions during lockdown under which various conditions are imposed on restaurants, shopping malls, shops, marriage functions/parties etc.

But in case of liquor shops these will be open up to 8.00 P.M in all days, it means that liquor shops will be open in all days without any ban on any day.
The above fact shows that the liquor is more essential than other essential items because its ban will affect on revenue of Govt more than coronavirus growing cases.
As revenue for Govt. is too essential to cope with the bad situation of coronavirus, but Govt should also plan for other ways to generate revenue by sacrificing some portion of liquor sale.
It should be noted that majority of the drinkers are too careless and they not follow any safety guidelines of coronavirus during drinking and they also create family issues after drinking which will affect on other family members also.

It looks like that Govt. cares more for drinkers health than their other family members health. Which will affect adversely on current situation.
Liquor is giving more revenue is not should be the reason to give more importance to liquor than other essential items, but other negative consequences should also to be considered.
The ultimate effect of this situation is more rise in coronavirus cases. Then how the govt will cope with this situation in future, it should also be decided in advance.
One drinker can fall his four family members in trouble, it means that if this carelessness continues then how much times the coronavirus cases rise can not be imagine.
It should be analyzed that whether revenue generated from one drinker is sufficient to handle four coronavirus cases in his family members due to his carelessness.
So by considering all factors, complete ban on liquor sale is not possible but govt should also put some restrictions by analyzing its ultimate affect on society at large and try to sacrifice in revenue from liquor sale, because it will impact negatively also on other side.
More other revenue generating activities should also be considered by governments so that we all will get safer quickly side by side and there should not be any loss of life to anyone.
